Ever since I split off the podcasts from the blogcasts this XML feed button has been broken. It took all this time to figure out because I am feed challenged and XML adverse. It finally dawned on me yesterday while using that truly fine browser, Safari, that maybe something weren't quite right. Safari notified me in plain English (Thank you very much, Mr. Jobs!) that the feed was broken when I tried to add the feed as an RSS bookmark. Other newsreaders gave me esoteric feedback like blank screens.
So, so, sorry everyone. Maybe now I can get real stats from Feedburner which has been notifying me ever since the split that I have no subscribers.
The Alien Drifter Podcast subscribers have swelled to 29 (including two bots and we all know how much they like their iPods). I feel motivated to cast. Maybe even regularly.
Party on.

frivolous and a total waste of resources
It only goes to show you how one person can have too much money. This is obviously the case with Mathew Peterson who is using a sledge hammer to drive a tack. Shocking, too, is the BBC's one-sided report of the law suit against Apple. Do they not read MacWorld which has a much better (and much earlier) story on the same topic? As was once said, "Front page for dying. Back page for flying."

small is the new big
You may remember my grousings about the lack of on-demand internet tv. If not, you can remind yourself here and here. Someone was listening or reading or something. Apple Computer is coming pretty darn close. First, there's a new iMac set up for making videos, then there's the 6-button remote control, and a new version of iTunes that lets me buy and download videos. I noticed a "TV Shows" option while Steve was demoing the new remote, but he didn't touch it. Do I dare to hope?
YES!!! YES!!! On-demand TV shows!! Woo hoo!! Steve has started with his buddies at Disney/ABC. I am hoping for old Star Trek, Deep Space 9, and Max Headroom. I am also hoping for Scrubs and Numb3rs. Is nothing impossible?

I am Jenny Wren
I decided yesterday not to work since I'm on vacation. That was yesterday. As part of my vacation adventure I bought a copy of Paste. It's all about media and it's really cool. Huh. That will convince you. Actually, it's totally outrageous and well-written to boot about stuff that matters in the entertainment industry. Anyway, enough about Paste.
Half-way through the interview with Sir Paul McCartney I finished up my Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (decaf) and headed over to Barnes & Noble's CD section to get the new release "Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard." (Which is odd as most English refer to their yard as a "garden.") The album is truly excellent. Go get one for yourself! Although, be careful of the rip off. I paid just as much for the CD only as you would pay in the UK for the CD/DVD combo. Now I don't know if I can even get the DVD.
Capitol Records has committed their (other) ever-present sin of not identifying any of the artists responsible for the booklet and cover art. The musicians (mostly Sir Paul) are well identified as are the instruments. It's a bleeding travesty.
Must be awful to be a survivor sometimes.
It's rainingat last.
I'm well on my way to becoming a bitter, old woman. :::sigh::::
Watching: cable tv in the hotel
Listening: Sir Paul's latest
Reading: "A Certain Age" by Tama Janowitz; Paste; USA Today; liner booklet; Writer's Digest Yearbook: Personal Writing
Activity: relaxing
