Spirit Boat - 7

I waited two days for this to render and then aborted this morning, unable to wait any longer. Bryce still has a bad way of calculating renders for things that can't be seen. Since this boat is textured with a complex cloud/fog pattern, there's a lot of unseen rays and strange bounces. Some of the pieces are still in their original textures (this is a ship I was given – not one I made) which is what you see through the shimmer. The chunky bits are the unfinished parts.

There is a long list of types of boats! One of them is a flying boat. Very appropriate for the spirit boat concept.

A boat is a floating vessel small enough to a) be put on a ship and/or b) able to be lifted out of the water. Good to know what the limits are.

Sky Project: Completed

I am done with skies. Oh, I may add a sky or two here and there because I like skies and I still sometimes see skies worthy of recording. No, I did not reach 365. It did not take 365 skies for me to exhaust my interest in the topic. I learned a few things and had a good time and for nearly a year made something creative every day. Well, nearly every day.

I keep making a video of the experience in my head - writing the script, recording, selecting the best skies. Might actually get done. Might not. If it does get done, you'll see it here first.

The blurring is supposed to make it look like oil paints. Not sure if it does or not. Yet I like it.

Sky 255 & 256 - tropical planet

This took 9 hours to render which is why it gets two numbers. Nine hours!

I think it's the trees. I'm not likely to redo this anytime soon. I wish the mountain were more like a sand dune. Oh well.
