My latest resolution is to blog about my workout routine. This way I'll keep track of it and get positive reinforcement by seeing it published, even if I'm the only one reading it. So, okay, Tuesday, July 15: 30 minute work out. 15 minutes on a machine I don't know the name of, 15 minutes on weight machines, working on my arms. I was shocked to see flab hanging over the back of my elbows. This is my initial motivation—get rid of that flap over the top of my elbows. On the weight machines I did 2 sets of 8-10 reps each on three machines plus one set of 8 reps with a five-pound dumbell. (per arm, of course) I have committed to do 3 sets of at least 8 reps but I had an appointment at 8:15 a.m. to give blood.

Blood not accepted. I lived in England for a year between 1980 and 1981. There's some wierd disease from foreign processed meat that they can't test for yet. However, the kind attendant informed that they have been using blood from the military for 20 years and now, suddenly, it's no good. It's okay. I still got a tee shirt.

The work out/exercise thing is good for my PNI which I am raising. Got any good jokes?
