I wonder if this is where they put hideously embarrassing events that are none the less large and generate a lot of traffic. It's also sort of where they wanted to put the new baseball diamond. Which makes total sense because there is absolutely no parking down there. Everybody has to be bussed in. I guess that's a good way to keep the rabble from parking downtown.
This shot is from the 9th street bridge walkway (which is in the center of the bridge so if you walk there you are on display. Dress appropriately!)
